HOW TO DO A METALLIC SMOKEY EYE

Smokey eye is a fashion trend that will never get old. We’ve seen matte, satin, and shimmery Smokey eyes makeup and now the new rage is metallic Smokey eye look. Below we will give you a few tips on how to blend for a subtle metallic Smokey eye look.

Metallic Champagne Smokey eye

If you are new to this trend, this makeup look will be perfect for you. Not only is it easy to do but will also give a subtle look which will be easy to pull off.

Products you will need

Eye primer: Bare Minerals Prime Time Eyelid Primer

Metallic Eye Shadow: Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow

Eyeshadow in bronzed: L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow, Bronzed Taupe

Mascara base: Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer

Mascara: Bareminerals Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara

Step 1:  Prep your lids

Always start by priming your lids. If you want your makeup to last longer and your eyeshadow not to crease then always start by applying primer on your lids. This step is very important, especially when working with metallic shades. A pea-sized amount will be right for your lids.

Step 2: Apply base color

The base color is always your lightest color. Start by applying the base color onto your lids past your crease by using a fluffy brush.  We always start with light colors when working on a smokey eye look, this gives you to blend into something so that you don’t end up with a muddy metallic look.

Step 3: Smoke it up

Now work a darker shade, which in our case is the bronzed taupe into the crease by using a tapered brush. After you have applied the shadow, take your fluff brush and start blending. Keep blending until you get a nice gradient look.

Step 4: prep your lashes

If you want your mascara to last longer and your lashes to look thicker then always use a lash primer before using mascara.

Step 5: end it with mascara

Finish the look by applying 3-4 coats of mascara and enjoy your metallic smokey eye look!
